Local sport star inspires business leaders of tomorrow

Basketball player Fabulous 'Fab' Flournoy spoke to youngsters about his own business credentials when he helped launch an annual Durham County Council schools competition.
Future Business Magnates will see teams for 16 secondary schools across the county competing against each other as they set up their own businesses.
The Newcastle Eagles basketball player/coach, who has a degree in business management, is hoping the young participants will make the most of the opportunity.
Fab said: "Talking to youngsters about business and enterprise is great for me because it takes me back to my roots. Although I've made a career as a basketball player, I always wanted to start my own business and was particularly interested in business law."
Fab was joined at the launch by Geoff Cook, Durham County Cricket Club's head coach.
